Having a Belgian grandmother made me interested in languages from childhood.  I would listen to her telephone conversations back home to her sisters as she seamlessly switched between between French, Flemmish and English.  Everday situations such as meal times became lessons in vocabulary as well as table manners.  My interest in foreign languages has always stayed with me, cementing my belief that languages as best learned young.

I studied French and Spanish at university and spent one year in Belgium teaching English to college students.  After university I worked in a nursery for one year where I taught French to the pre-school children.  Now, as a qualified primary teacher and with three years' experience behind me, I have returned to my love of lauguages and strive to pass on my enthusiasm to others.
